ACCESS TO BEACH: A fairly deserted area, Bottom Bay can be reached by car, or rental moped, by following the roadsigns: just take the marked sideroad off the main highway. At the end of the road there is a path and stairways hewn out of the rocky cliff which descends to the beach. QUALITY OF BEACH: An exquisite, hide-a-way beach which boasts golden sand, turquoise water, a few palm trees, surrounded by tall cliffs and very few people. There is also a large cave carved out of the cliff that can provide some relief from the sun. The small palm grove affords a good deal of sunshade. ADDITIONAL COMMENTS: A lonesome stretch of beach on the wonderful southeast coast of Barbados. Although the beaches along this stretch have wild surf at certain times of year, they are thoroughly pleasant with blue water and perfect sandy beaches.
